Carolyn Clark is a seasoned communications professional with experience in many facets of communications – from consumer PR to product PR, media PR to corporate communications, and for the last four years leading internal and HR communications at Yahoo. Most recently, she led internal and HR communications at the Verizon Company, Oath. In the last four years she has led countless transitions, navigated more crises than she can count, and shepherded more than 12,000 employees through a complicated integration from Yahoo and AOL to Oath.

Carolyn brings to the table experience navigating complex situations and an ability to drive communication strategy through extremely complicated corporate issues, some of which most companies never experience.

Prior to spending more than 10 years in the tech industry, she spent time working on public relations campaigns for celebrities, consumer brands, and media companies. She spent time as an NBC Page working on shows like Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with Conan O'Brien, and The Today Show, and started her career as a news producer at ABC.

Additionally she is an adjunct communications professor at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC; and currently serves as the Appalachian Alumni Association President, a member of the Foundation Board, Board of Visitors, and an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees at Appalachian State University.
